A Note From Our Managing Director About COVID-19
March 17, 2020
The global outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19), is affecting us all. We just want you to know that we’re monitoring the situation closely and responding to the rapid changes every day, because the safety and well-being of our customers and our fishermen remains our top priority.
I want to personally share additional steps our vessels and fish handling agents are taking to ensure we prevent exposure, support health officials, and react quickly at a global scale as additional concerns arise. Our decisions are made in accordance with health organisations and government authorities, and are driven by our company’s mission to continue to provide fresh fish to customers, and maintain the safety of our customers and crews.
As I write this today, I want to emphasize the importance of the global issue, but also offer a sense of unwavering optimism for the future. How we each respond at a time like this is a reflection of who we are and what we stand for. Waterdance is proudly a UK fishing company, with a family tradition, with our ocean going crews at the heart of what we do. We catch fish in UK waters for fresh global consumption.
Fish is a remarkable product, packed full of protein; keeping healthy remains a key strategy in building resistance to infection. I urge you to eat fresh fish when you can and to support the UK fishing industry through the crisis. That way we will continue to be able to provide you with the very best UK caught fish, during the crisis, and when we emerge from it; which we will. Try these delicious recipes below from our sister company Greendale Farm Shop who deliver our fresh fish across the UK, direct to your home.
