Adam and his team on the Margaret of Ladram have smashed the Brixham port sale record again!
The huge catch sold for £155,000, with the previous record (also set by Adam and his team on the Margaret!) set at £125,000 in November 2019.
The catch was landed into Holyhead, after fishing in the English part of the Irish Sea. This involved fishing around and inbetween wind farms and protected areas, whilst also adhering to strict quota regulation and minimum sizes.
The team are pictured here below the new beam gear trialled on the Margaret, the Sumwing. The gear has been showing impressive results of reduced seabed contact, up to 30% in fuel savings and, as proved by this fantastic catch, hasn’t hindered the Margaret’s performance!
