Chloe of Ladram is a beam trawler with a long history behind it. Built in Holland in 1973, it came to to the UK in 1990 when it was bought a Brixham partnership of Malcolm Cook and skipper Chris Tooley, when Pete Boyce also joined the boat as a deckhand.

A serious fire on board in 1998 saw the boat become an insurance write-off and ready to be scrapped, when a new partnership was able to buy it from the insurer, repair the damage and get it back to sea. A major refit took place, with the wheelhouse rebuilt, the engine replaced and a new winch fitted, when its name was also changed to Chloe Olivia and the registration changed to BM-201. Since then it has been further refitted, with the gearbox renewed, a stern gantry fitted and the stern section enclosed to expand the crew accommodation.
